Pirate City-- Kayla L

“Mommy, why can’t I see that picture?” cried the boy. “Son, your hands and imagination is how life will lead you to your unanswered questions” whispered mom. The boy tried to open his eyes; however, the endless tears flowing from his eyes didn’t allow it. An invisible ship lay abroad, a quiet treasured island with nothing amiss. A little boy, with an eye patch on one eye, had always dreamt of being a pirate. He would sneak onto the boat and set sail with the pirates, far into the foggy skies to bring back a hidden treasure that he dreamt of. His dreams were of the sea, fighting battles, and discovering a hidden treasure to bring back to his mom, who was alone after his father died fighting the treacherous war. The little boy wanted to be remembered as a kind pirate, who wanted to do nice things. The treasure map led the boy to this very special treasure that had a special meaning in behind it. The pirates spent their days sailing the seas and oceans, hunting for very valuable treasures, which no one was able to ever find. However, the little boy was invisible and was able to capture this treasure, without leaving a trace.“I found it!” shouted the boy. Inside the treasure was a message that had the writing of the boy’s father. The father had written his last words to his son. “My love for you will always be with you everywhere you go. I love you son.” For that brief moment, the little boy was able to see his father and give him a hug. The boy realized that these words meant more to him than any treasure, which is why he would embark on a journey to this special place to read his father’s words and seek his guidance. It was, after all, a pirate city.
