A Forgotten Parachute
your worries seem to drift away out the
open path to the sky, the plane climbing higher.
trapped on this flight, just me and you
just for the latter, suspicion begins to rise
I know this is a one-way flight, and you catch the
strange expression on my face while I step further.
You asked for your parachute, but I hadn’t brought that.
piercing eyes trained on you
I laugh, and you fall.
